Abstract

|
This article describes longitudinal cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) imaging observations in a patient with rheumatoid arthritis of the bilateral temporomandibular joint. Characteristic findings of severe bone destruction were observed 3 years after initial onset. CBCT is considered to provide valuable information for patterns of bone changes in several aspects and areas of the temporomandibular joint in rheumatoid arthritis.
